Welcome to Omozojie's Personal Website

I completed my Bachelor's degree in 2014 from Nigeria as the best graduating student of my class and awarded the most resourceful student in my faculty. I moved to University of Saskatchewan, Canada in the spring of 2017 to pursue graduate studies and research. My PhD research focused on the design, synthesis, and preclinical evaluation of novel PET imaging probes for alpha-synuclein in Parkinson's disease. My interest in radiochemistry dates back to my second year (2012) in my undergrad program when I came across a chapter in the book "the molecular nature of matter and change by Silberberg". From that time on, the atomic nucleus and its potential fascinated me, and my research goal is to develop chemical methods to harness the power of the nucleus (literally) to develop and advance novel radiopharmaceuticals from bench to bedside. 

I would like to acknowledge that I am on traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. I honor and pay my respect to the indigenous people of this place, and I give thanks to the traditional people for the ability to learn and work on their traditional lands.
